02 — Conditions
What people
come in with.
- 2.1
Low back pain
Stiff in the morning, sharp when you bend, or an ache down one leg. The most common reason anyone walks in.
Usually 4–8 visits - 2.2
Neck pain & headaches
Pain at the base of the skull, trouble checking a blind spot, headaches that start in the neck.
Usually 4–6 visits - 2.3
Shoulder
Pain reaching overhead or behind you, a pinch in the front of the joint, trouble sleeping on one side.
Usually 6–10 visits - 2.4
Hip, knee & running injuries
Outside-of-knee pain at mile three, a tight hip that never loosens, shin or Achilles pain as mileage goes up.
Usually 6–10 visits - 2.5
Desk & mid-back stiffness
A band of tightness between the shoulder blades by 3 pm. Often as much about the day as the spine.
Usually 3–5 visits - 2.6
Return to sport
Cleared by your surgeon or physician and not sure how to load it again. We build the bridge back, with testing.
8–12 weeks, tapering
Visit ranges are what we typically see, not a promise. Everyone responds differently. If we think you need imaging, a physician or a different kind of provider, we say so on day one.

Neck
C1–C7 · cervical spine
- What it feels like
- Stiffness turning your head, an ache at the base of the skull, headaches that build through the day, sometimes tingling into an arm.
- What we do
- Check nerves and range first. Then gentle joint work, soft-tissue treatment for the upper traps and deep neck muscles, and two or three exercises you can do at a desk.
- Typical visit plan
- 4–6 visits over 3–4 weeks, then a re-test. Arm symptoms or a recent accident may mean imaging before we treat.
04 — Process
Four steps.
The last one is goodbye.
- 01
Talk and test
First visit · 60 minutes
Your history, then a movement screen and orthopedic and neurological checks. We want to know what you can't do right now, not only where it hurts.
- 02
Explain
Same visit
What we found, in plain English, and what we think is going on. If it isn't something we treat, we refer you out and don't charge for a plan you don't need.
- 03
Treat
Follow-ups · 30 minutes
Adjustments where they're indicated, soft-tissue work, and loaded exercise. You're with a clinician for the whole visit, never parked on a machine.
- 04
Re-test and discharge
Every plan has an end date
We re-run the tests from day one. When you're doing what you came in unable to do, we're done, and you leave with a short home program.

06 — Clinic
Two clinicians.
One patient at a time.

Plumb Line opened in 2011 with one rule: whoever examines you treats you, every visit. Fifteen years on it's still two clinicians, three rooms and a rehab studio, a few blocks from Holiday Park.
- Dr. Elena Varga, DC, CCSPChiropractic physician · certified chiropractic sports physician

First place that told me how many visits it would take and then actually stopped at that number. Six visits, back to running.
Dr. Varga spent the whole hour with me. She explained my MRI report better than the person who ordered it.
They sent me to an orthopedist after the first visit instead of selling me a package. That's why I came back for my shoulder.
Price was on the website, same price at the desk. Small thing, but nobody else does it.
